Mentoring

The Business Farm mentoring/coaching programmes are designed to transfer knowledge and expertise to the business owner or manager.

Once you express interest in involvement with us we book a half hour appointment with you. That’s the time when we can both make sure that there’s a reason for you to engage The Business Farm and for both of us to check that the chemistry between us is right.

Should we both decide to proceed we will sign an agreement, most probably for a 12 month programme. As a first step we will undertake a detailed ‘discovery’ about you and your business. This is a three to four hour, documented question and answer session, out of which will come the initial actions required for you to move your business forward.

During the early part of the programme we will assist you to articulate your core values, reevaluate the purpose of your business and state where you would like to see it be in 5, 10 and/or 15 years time; as Verne Harnish who wrote the Rockefeller Habits put it, to identify your Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG), your business destination.

We will then, together, identify the further actions required to get to that destination. These will be actions totally aligned to where you want to go. We will put in place a measurement process such that key performance indicators will help you to stay on course, to clearly see how the business is performing and to keep your every action aligned to achieving your goals.

We will be there during the term of the programme to add knowledge and expertise and to help keep you on track. We will work with you to put in place systems and process that will help ensure your ability to continue on your own once the programme is complete.

Beyond this we will be there to help with fresh initiatives and, if required, to help you take the business to yet another level.
